Back in Germany, this resort town is renowned for its picturesque setting with strange rock formations. There are lots of trails for hiking with the ruins of a church and monastery high in the hills.

We took the narrow gauge train to Zittau. Touring the town, we saw the "Salt House". The medieval Lenten Cloth with scenes from the life of Christ is one of the major attractions in the city.

Our next stop was Herrnhut. Some Schwenkfelders lived in this Moravian town between 1725 and 1734. Dave is presenting Dietrich Meyer with a contribution for the Schwenkfelder Gemeindehaus.

This vacant dwelling is known as the Schwenkfelder Gemeindehaus. It is to be restored and turned into a museum. Schwenkfelders built homes in Berthelsdorf and had planned to stay there permanently.
