Each year around Groundhog day, men gather in various groups throughout the state of Pennsylvania to celebrate the Groundhog's weather forcasting ability. These meetings are called Groundhog Lodges.

Our children's Grundsau Lodge maintains the tradition of pledges, songs, and activities in Pennsylvania German and celebrates the Grundsau, or Groundhog. All new participants receive a button and bandana, play games, and make crafts inspired by Pennsylvania German traditions and the Groundhog. It is a light hearted family event that maintains PA German traditions. Join us in January 2012 to participate in our second annual Grundsau Lodsch fer yunge.
